Hands down one of the best day trips we’ve ever done. Teresa and Charles were absolutely amazing hosts—so warm, knowledgeable, and relaxed. It felt like we were spending the day with friends who happen to know everything about the island and its waters.

We did the full-day wildlife and island tour, and it was worth every second. Cruised through the winding mangrove “snakes,” learning about the area’s history, wildlife, and ecosystems. Saw reef sharks, stingrays, starfish, and so many turtles we lost count. Every stop had something new—clear shallow flats, secret sandbars, and hidden pockets of marine life.

The highlight? They took us to a totally secluded cay for lunch and fired up a rustic BBQ right there on the beach. We had Bahamian-style ribs, potato salad, and corn—so good, and somehow even better surrounded by turquoise water and white sand.

What really stood out was how thoughtful and genuine Teresa and Steven were. You could tell they love what they do and want every guest to leave with a deeper appreciation for the island. We learned a lot, laughed a lot, and left with some awesome memories.

If you’re heading to Long Island, this is a must-do experience. Laid-back, local, and full of heart.

My husband and I went on a wildlife safari trip with Teresa and Charles, and it was just magical. Turns out, its very windy in The Bahamas in August, so we went with their advice on the best day to go out (they were right!). We learned about mangroves and their importance to the environment and as a fish and turtle nursery, saw giant starfish, sharks, rays, and honestly too many turtles to keep count. We had a great lunch on a beautiful secluded cay, then did some reef fishing – they fish were practically jumping in the boat. We had more than enough for 2 meals! Teresa and Charles even navigated my seasickness with empathy (bring dramamine lol). They even dropped off a beautiful, cleaned conch that we found in the flats before we left which was a beautiful touch. Book with them – you won’t be disappointed!

Four of us went on an all day excursion with Teresa and Charles which exceeded our expectations! They were so gracious and very informative. Learned a lot about mangroves and how vital they are to the ecosystem.

Charles and Teresa took us to see the swimming pigs, to gorgeous sandbars, through a channel searching for marine life….. saw loggerheads, green turtles, an eagle ray, lemon shark, starfish….. amazing!!

To add to the Robinson Crusoe vibe, we were served a terrific meal on a secluded cay. Teresa’s coconut tarts were an absolute delight!
Just a totally memorable day. We started as strangers…. but ended as friends… who I hope to connect with again on a future trip to Long Island.

We did the “wildlife safari” day with Charles and Teresa, and it was truly spectacular. We saw turtles, stingrays, sharks, starfish, conch, and more, learned about the mangroves and sponge cutting, stopped by to see the swimming pigs (and got to hold a piglet), and had a delicious lunch on an amazing, beautiful deserted beach, including the best fish I have ever tasted in my life. Throughout, Charles and Teresa were warm, informative, relaxed, and kind — perfect hosts. We felt completely safe with them and enjoyed every minute. They even met us at the airport to deliver the beautiful conch shell we’d found that day, and it was like seeing old friends. We’d do it again in a heartbeat.
